Since the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival (Semaine de la critique) until today, film SNOW has in less than two years received 26 international awards and recognitions, as it was Bosnian and Herzegovinian candidate for 2009 Academy Awards and 2008 European Film Academy Discovery of the year Nominee. The film is till being shown world wide, and so far it has been shown at 76 film festivals. »»

At the 52. San Francisco International FIlm Festival Aida Begic was awarded with the New Directors Prize for feature film SNOW.

Jury of 23. Filmfest DC decided to give a main award of the Festival, Capital Focus Award, to the feature film SNOW by Aida Begic. Jury members were: Susan Barocas, Manjula Kumar, Arnie Lutzker, Anderw Mencher and Peggy Parsons.

Filmfest DC organized every year in Washington DC and this year its geographical focus included Eastern Europe and Japan.
